CHI received information from Wuhan, and two other orphanages in Hubei as of Jan 28th, that they are in serious need! There are 17 cities quarantined and the caretakers in orphanages are required to stay in the facilities with the children day and night. In order to fight the virus from spreading in the orphanage, they are in need of masks, protective glasses, and sanitizing materials. There is a shortage of supplies throughout China and these are not currently available. When you visited MTN, you have visited this school. In the rainy season, as the roof was completely damaged due to it is old and due to the monkeys, the rain water is directly coming in to the class rooms and we are unable to run the classes. This spring, when the Welsh family adopted a two year old baby girl from China, they visited Alenah's Home, our CHI foster care center. Their new sister and daughter had been cared for there for most of her life. Ten year old Ava Welsh was so moved by what she experienced there that she decided to get involved.She got right to work on CUPCAKES THAT CARE Ava bakes custom cupcakes for a suggested donation of $25.
