Secretary of State The fee for an apostille or authentication is $10.00 per document with a total maximum fee of $100 per adoption.

Documents can be processed with in person service or mailed in. When filing, you will need to include form2103 with each document. This form can be accessed at the following website: http://www.sos.state.tx.us/statdoc/forms/2103.pdf

If mailing your documents, please enclose an appropriately sized self-addressed, stamped envelope or a pre-paid overnight envelope for the return of the documents. Mail your request to:

Certified copies of marriage licenses are only available from the County Court in the county in which the event occurred. Certified copies of divorce decrees are only available from the District Clerk in the county in which the event occurred. Fingerprint offices:
CIS will provide you with the fingerprint offices closest to you when they send your fingerprint appointment letter.

Filing Instructions:
In Texas, it is best to file your I 600 A/I 800 after your home study is complete. CIS Texas offices will not assign a fingerprint appointment until a home study is received.
